About the Owner

Hi there! If you’re new here, my name is Melissa. You’ll quickly see those close to me call me, Mel! 
Since 2015, part of my identity has been coach’s girlfriend, then coach’s wife. Mrs.Coach quickly became my nickname, and I created Mrs.Coach Creations where I could create all things spirited: shirts, cups, earrings, sweatshirts, flags, etched glasses, rally towels… you name it to help the community my husband, Alex was coaching in show off their school pride. So more custom items is also something I'd like to offer down the road :). I am the very proud mama to our adorable son, Maverick, daughter, Aniston and fur kids, Ace & Max. 

Fashion and all it encompasses has always been so fascinating to me. The right outfit can change your day and the right accessories and make up are the cherry on top! 
After 16 years of experience at 5 retailers ranging from department, boutique, fashion and shoes--I convinced my husband to let me take this leap when he accepted a new position. Now I am part SAHM, head of home renovations, and small business owner. Welcome to The Peculiar Peacock. 

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with this new adventure and carrying out my dreams of how I want it to evolve. Retail is therapy. I strongly believe that and I am packed with empathy and a psychology degree ;) so I am open ears— my jobs have always allowed me to create relationships with my customers as I helped them navigate through loss, celebration, body changes, health concerns, family drama and all that’s in between.
